Hi David, firstly thanks for the kind words, I am glad you and your group enjoyed it : Just to address your minor issues: 1. The secret door is really a trap designed to split the party You're absolutely right.

I have a Special Edition hardcover on the way this October. It holds the entire trilogy, has over removable paper minis, custom Haunt character sheets, combat tracker initiative sheets for every combat in the book, and fixes some minor issues that have come to light over the years of folk playing them Over the last couple years, I have been on a one-shot kick and my group is loving it.

The last year has been largely horror-themed. This adventure is one that has caused my players to get other groups together to play through this because they loved it so much. I've run this adventure 5 times now, and it is just the pinnacle of what a one-shot can be.

Well-written and thought out, Montarthas Manor is a place of pure horror and immersion. The prep for this is very easy, from a story and background perspective.

It can be inserted into existing campaigns. I recommend building a soundboard for this adventure using something like tabletop audio. Their House on the Hill soundboard is nearly perfect for this.

Well done! Thanks Carl! Appreciate the kind words and super glad you and your group loved it! Cheers PB. I just bought your adventure The Haunt from DM's Guild and I was wondering if you have a copy of the map with no grid?

I plan on importing it into Fantasy Grounds and it's usually easier when there is no grid. I know that you have a version already formatted for Fantasy Grounds, but I usually take pre-made adventures and add stuff to them so they are tailored to my players and I find that easier to do when doing the work myself in bringing over the adventure to FG.

Robert, I have some alternate maps made with Inkarnate that you can use, if you'd like them. Let me know. Hello PB, Loved the first book. I will definitely get the other two. Are you going to have those also softcovers as well? Would be really cool to have them all in one hardcover.

I'd love to have a physical copy of the three. Hey Andrew, funny you should mention that Hey Carl, thanks for the kind words on your comments and the above review. If anyone can clear this up I'd appreciate it! Heya Ira, Firstly, thanks for the purchase! If the roll is 40 or under, the doll makes an appearance. You can always adjust this number or get rid of it completely if you want less randomness for her appearances. Hope this helps Cheers PB. If my players try to take a long rest I'm going to allow it, but one of them will get a sleepytime visit from Gertrude and there will be a Doll encounter immediately after.

Having just played it as two level-7 characters, we just left the mansion after a while and camped on the grounds overnight.

You could play it without a long rest if you had four players. There's nothing keeping you from doing so. This is just a suggestion, but aligning the image borders with the grid would make life a lot easier for those of us using VTTs like Roll Roll20 at least likes snapping things to its internal grid, so aligning the maps right now is doable but a bit fussy. I know this is super old, but I've been majorly struggling to get the maps to snap to the Roll20 grid.

Would you be willing to share how you did it? Samuel B. A truly well-done one-shot. As a newer DM, I was very nervous at first when running the game. I ran it with 4 level 5 players, it went really smoothly. My players went through most of the rooms but missed a few. There were a t [ Well, it is a scenario for teams, who like battles.

Boss fights are interesting and were fun. But plot is too ordinary and there is only one interesting trap. However, my players had fun while running it [ Michael B. This is a pretty solid scenario.

I ran it as a Halloween one shot for my group and they quite enjoyed it. The story hooks and setting are ambigious enough that this can easily be inserted into the middle of an existing campaign or just ran as a stand-a [ Craig E. A very well written and fun adventure. Lots of great story hooks and characters and a great puzzle too.

Remade it for PF2 and incorperated in into a larger campaign just to add some "spooky" and it ran excellently. Highly recommended. Mark S. The Haunt is a very well-written module perfect for a spooky Halloween themed one shot or more.

It gives the DM a lot of room to add lore and flavor on the fly without compromising the written lore that my party discovered and pondered over for days af [ In Pacify , you will spend your life through the narrow corridors of a dark and old house.
