Although an active internet connection is required to utilize the full feature set of the app, you can read your books and create and view your personalizations while offline and then sync them with your online version when you reconnect.

To use a book offline, you must first download chapters using the Download Manager on the toolbar within a book or the More Info window on the Bookshelf. The Sync Personalizations button will update the notes and highlights that are stored for offline use. Tap Sync Personalizations when you have made changes while working online that you want updated for chapters you have already downloaded.

Note: The Download option is not available for all titles. When working offline, your Notes, Highlights, and Bookmarks that you created while online are viewable and editable.
